This hotel was amazing! You start and end the trip with a private speed boat ride to their main shore and are greeted with local Filipino music and fruit drinks. Pangulasian Island goes 10 steps beyond any resort I have ever stayed at. This small boutique hotel has been listed on Small Luxury Hotels & Resorts (www.slh.com) website for multiple years not counting the other accolades the resort has received - most recently on CNNs top beach resorts of the world.
The resort consists of 42 rooms, 1 main restaurant (Amianan) and 1 poolside restaurant. Pangulasian Island is part of the El Nido Resorts (www.elnidoresorts.com) group which own 3 other resorts in El Nido.
Pangulasian Island provides 5 start service to their guests including an array of daily activities which are included. It's nice because this resort, unlike other resorts, do not nickle and dime you for every extra amenity. Included are kayaks, daily boat excursions to the other resorts owned by the company, sunrise and sunset (see photo below) hikes to the the top of the island, and an early morning black tip reef shark snorkeling adventure where you will most likely see sharks, an array of fish, and sea turtles on the islands private reef.
